TODAY

TODAY - started like this

and TODAY ended like this....

Today has been a day where I have placed a full stop and started a new sentence.....a day where it all makes sense and plans, ambitions, aspirations, inspirations and good old wholesomeness are about to start a new chapter....may not make sense to you but it all makes sense to me.......

Simple changes...reflections....'getting down with the techno kids'
and feeling comfortable in ones own 'business skin'

None of it is that profound really - I have just hit a time in my design/making life where I need to decide where I am going and what I am doing and why I am doing it......and today I finally understand where I am going, what I am doing, AND why I am doing it...and I'm about to plan a journey on paper of how to get there.  Tickets please!!!!

gatherings of blue

I have lots of bluebells in my garden.  My house was built in 1931.  Before that it was a woodland so all along one side of the garden, tucked in the shade of the trees and fencing, stands clusters of bells.  I always have to have little posies of flowers in the studio or statuesque displays of foliage in over sized vessels, the studio is not complete without their presence.  This week it is decorated with little gatherings of blues, purples and leaves of beetroot tones.....

the sketchbook journeys No. 2

In a previous post I talked about an indulgent time....a time for me....catching hours here and there...to take me wandering on a journey that is more personal ... a project that doesn't have a finish line or a deadline...
These images is my second layering of indulgence...

The Linen Garden - new stock

Just a little post to show you some of the new floral treats and treasures that have just been arranged on the shop shelves of The Linen Garden.  All wonderful additions to aid and decorate creative works or maybe you fancy trying the iron-on cut flowers as a 'wall tattoo' arrangement.  These can be ironed directly to an emulsioned wall with ease..... pretty delicate wall collages...perfect as little statements of their own or to decorate around a door surround or hung picture.....
